The saying goes that time flies when you are having fun…so apparently we are having a lot of fun or perhaps spring flew by and summer surprised us by arriving early. Perhaps it is both though. We have been quite busy lately with the Memorial Wiffle Ball Game (I forget M’s real name for it), a trip to O.U. (M’s 1st) and Indiana (for Johny K & C’s wedding) and now M is in Pittsburgh and I am busy with school and lululemon athletica where I am working part-time and getting to go to fabulous yoga classes – come the official summer I will work there full time! Yeah! I love it! I can not believe that the school year is nearly over and that I will soon be saying good-bye to my fabulous 4th graders…I hope next years bunch is just as fabulous! Everyone says though that you will never forget your first class, so if that is the case I will have wonderful memories because it has been an amazing year. M has begun his internship with the Treasury Department and has loved his 1st 5 days – whew! We have been getting ready for our summer adventure to Georgia and South Carolina with trips to REI and lululemon (duh) and we have begun making lists of what else still needs to be purchased (for the backpacking part). We are looking very forward to being with my fam next weekend in Chi-town to celebrate my cousin B’s wedding to C (a different one – not me). When we return from that trip I will only have 2 ½ days of school left – I can hardly believe it! Well, that is the quick update. We will blog more later and in more detail when life calms down a bit…perhaps over Shavuot, the holiday I do not know much about, but which is giving me 2 days off this week…a perk for working at a Jewish Day School!
Well, our bags are packed and we are ready to go! We are ready to head out the door. We hate to leave the blog, but we must go. We are leaving! On a jet plane! And we know when we will be back again!
Okay...enough John Denver.
But, we are ready for our 2 weeks of sun in the south and we will write all about it when we return! School is officially over, lululemon is treating me fabulous and M is being entertained (sometimes) at the Treas. M's dad H is in town to help with D's (M's bro) condo closing and mini-M (aka Mim) is chillin' in DC with us for the evening too. In case you could not figure that out...H is here to celebrate and help with D's closing of his condo and since Mim is currently living in Baltimore we are all together tonight! We leave bright and early tomorrow; H will drop us off at the airport and then we will be on our merry way! We have all kinds of adventures planned besides backpacking and beach vegging...a trip to a bamboo farm, a ghost tour, fireworks, a posh B&B and whatever else we decide floats our boat. Do not miss us too much...we will return and update you on our adventures sometime in the middle of July!
